If you could have any super power in the world, what would it be? If you could rewrite history, what would you see? Come with us on a journey of imagination. Picture for a moment if you will, being born with super powers, but not being able to tell your friends. That is the premise of thought for cousins Daewon and Zenobia attending Ellison-Wright High School, trying to navigate their way through classes, exams, teenage crushes, bullies, and other extracurricular activities while also fighting evil. The Adventures of the Black Phenomenon is a collection of poems written by DeJuan Cuffee and Sharon Evans that tell a coming-of-age superhero story about two cousins in high school, Daewon, a junior, and Zenobia, a freshman, discovering the freedom that comes with being a teenager, while also dealing with innate super powers. Each teenager must grapple with very grown-up life and death situations with major repercussions. DeJuan (Sultan) and Sharon (Poetic CEO) use words that create worlds. In this saga, they use their unique poetic skills and imagination to paint a picture perfect action-packed poetic story. Their poetic expression puts medicine in a candy wrapper, as the rhymes and stories are entertaining, educational, insightful, and inspirational. Jason Langford once again provides magnificent illustrations throughout the book. Black Sultan Productions leaves an indelible mark on the superhero genre, and refreshingly fitting, the genre will never be the same. We invite you to come along with us as we take you on another poetic journey of freedom and expression.

Sharon Evans, (Poetic CEO), is an author/Poetess and serial entrepreneur on a National level. She co-authored, Pleasures: Love, Sex, and Poetic Stories, with DeJuan Cuffee, and has published 7 business articles in the Philatrepreneur Journal, founded by Dr. Victoria Boyd. She has published poetry with Women Entrepreneurs of America, as well as with DeJuan Cuffee. She has founded Through Daddy's Eyes, a nonprofit in Hot Springs Arkansas and Las Vegas, NV; that assist with elderly and veteran needs. She also owns Evans Global Outreach and Consulting Services, LLC and Partners with OGIFI Behavioral Health, INC. Sharon obtained a degree in Sociology, Psychology, and Nursing as giving back was always her intentions. She presently works as CEO for the companies she started five years ago. Sharon serves as a member of the board of directors for Cutwell 4 Kids, a nonprofit that assist kids with healthy outlets with art and poetry on a volunteer basis. Sharon is a Certified Facilitator, Safety Consultant, and Qualified Mental Health Associate for federally funded programs. Sharon has embraced poetry since the age of 8. She was always the one the school or church wanted to be the speaker, or she had to always write the poem for the funerals as they lost loved ones in the family. These areas of her life made her a fearless speaker and presenter. Sharon writes on numerous topics as she writes from the 'spirit.' She is dynamic with Metaphoric, Spiritual, Uplifting, and Erotic poetry. Sharon is the mother of Anika Snider and the grandmother of 3 grandsons Michael Brooks III, Makai Brooks, and Jacob Brooks. Family, traveling and giving back to the community are the priorities on her list of importance. She enjoys jazz, classical, and smooth R&B, and dancing in her down time. She enjoys scrapbooking, making flower arrangements, cooking to entertain, and decorating for events.
