A family tree of secrets, money, and lies

1885, wealthy widow Arabella Pryce is determined to make a dazzling debut in her new hometown as she orchestrates the much-anticipated Winter Festival. With opening-day nerves and her uncanny ability to sense what others cannot, Arabella braces herself for a night of surprises. But the celebration takes a deadly turn when a VIP guest mysteriously plummets from a second-story window—poisoned, and with a web of powerful kin lurking in the shadows.

Reluctantly drawn into the investigation, Arabella’s world collides with that of a dashing, accident-weary sheriff who craves her sharp insight. Together, they must untangle a tangled tapestry of whispered gossip, hidden betrayals, and paranormal clues before the walls—and secrets—come crashing down.

Will Arabella’s extraordinary gifts lead her to the truth before it’s too late?

Dive into The Pryce of Greed, the dramatic third installment in The Pryce of Murder series, and join Arabella on a suspenseful journey through a bygone era.

Winner of the 2019 Hillerman Southwest Fiction Award. When she’s not on a horse, or walking along the beautiful cottonwood-laden acequias of Corrales, New Mexico; or basking on white sand beaches under the Big Island Hawaiian sun, Kari Bovée is escaping into the past—scheming murder and mayhem for her characters both real and imagined in her award-winning historical Annie Oakley Mystery series, Grace Michelle Mysteries and The Pryce of Murder series. Born in northern New Mexico, Kari developed a love of reading, writing, and history early in life. Her most treasured Christmas gift as a young child was a toy typewriter. After graduating with a B.A. in English Literature with an emphasis in Creative Writing, Kari found work as a technical writer at a Fortune 500 tech company. But, her love of story-telling never waned. While staying at home with two young children, Kari wrote her first novel and hasn’t stopped. She and her husband live happily in rural Corrales, New Mexico with their horses, dogs, and cat.
