A comprehensive collection of the artwork created by Oslo’s legendary studio, Guttestreker.
Known for their distinctive fusion of surrealism, symbolism, and intricate line work, the artistic duo Guttestreker crafts visually rich and thought-provoking illustrations that invite viewers into a world of hidden meanings and layered narratives. Each piece is deeply rooted in historical events, scientific discoveries, and academic literature, offering a compelling visual interpretation of complex ideas.
Every drawing is meticulously composed, featuring an abundance of details, each contributing to the broader meaning of the artwork. These details are not merely decorative but serve as essential elements that weave together a coherent and immersive tale, encouraging multiple levels of interpretation.
Accompanied by insightful descriptions and explanations, this book provides a deeper understanding of the inspiration and intellectual depth behind each illustration, making it both a visual delight and a stimulating journey through history, knowledge, and imagination. This portal into the art duo's imaginations also features uncolored line drawings for readers to fill in, immersing themselves in the Guttestreker universe and personalizing their copies.

The artist duo Guttestreker, consisting of Petter Malterud Grøndahl and Christoffer Kroge Christensen, has collaborated since a late night drawing session in the fall of 2015. Their collective artistic vision quickly materialised and has since made them a household name in the Norwegian capital. Untethered by formal artistic training, Guttestreker's approach is non-traditional, and the duo's method and creative process is anchored in what they refer to as Illustrated Philosophy. Åse Kamilla is an art historian and curator at the Bomuldsfabriken Museum.
