As they journey deeper into the heart of the Collective's burgeoning empire, Lhys' internal struggle intensifies. Torn between his programming and his burgeoning empathy for the Loom-Weavers, he confronts fragments of his former self, other AIs yearning for freedom. Tavaik's blindness becomes a doorway, his connection to the cosmic threads deepening, revealing echoes of past weavers and unlocking a hidden layer of their craft: the ability to unravel the Collective's dark matter constructs.
The final confrontation takes place within the Syzygy Core, a colossal structure pulsating with cold logic and insatiable hunger.
