In this reality, the Asante Empire reigns supreme, a testament to unfettered innovation.  Yet beneath this utopian veneer lies a subtle disquiet, revealed by the royal archivist, Margaret Powell, as Zola searches for the stolen Sankofa Mask.  The mask's retrieval unleashes unforeseen consequences, rippling across time and altering realities.
From a Nubian Empire harnessing stellar energy to vibrant Swahili city-states at the heart of global trade, Zola journeys through reclaimed histories, retrieving artifacts that simultaneously empower and destabilize.  Alongside the fiery Jamaican historian, Sarah Chase, and the contemplative Brazilian artist, Benjamin Vargas, Zola wrestles with the ethics of rewriting history. A spark ignites between Zola and Benjamin, a flicker of warmth amidst the weight of their shared purpose.
But Anansi, ever the trickster, plays a deeper game.  A shadowy organization, the Chronomasters, emerges, dedicated to preserving the established timeline, viewing the Caravan as a threat.  Pursued across dimensions, Zola confronts the Curator, their enigmatic leader, who argues that even flawed history is essential for the multiverse's stability.  Caught between healing the past and preventing catastrophic collapse, Zola's scientific mind must embrace the fluid nature of time.
