Elara senses a connection to this forgotten betrayal, a wound echoing through her own family's past.  She must unravel this inherited secret to save her village.
Her search leads her to Rhys Ainsworth, a reclusive dream-catcher who dwells in a cabin shrouded by ancient pines.  He doesn't snare dreams, but weaves intricate nets to guide lost dreams home.  Existing between the waking world and the ethereal realm of dreams, Rhys is haunted by visions, yet offers an unexpected sanctuary to Elara. He has glimpsed a shadowy figure, the Weaver of Nightmares, corrupting the Tapestry.
Together, Elara and Rhys journey into the Dreamweaver's Realm, a breathtaking landscape woven from Hearthstone's collective unconscious. Here, trees bear fruit whispering forgotten memories, and rivers of moonlight flow through valleys of mist. But this ethereal realm hides a terrible danger: the Weaver of Nightmares, born from the fragment Elara unearthed, feeds on fear, weaving it into ever-more potent nightmares. 
As they navigate this shifting landscape, Elara and Rhys confront the villagers' deepest anxieties.  Elara learns that the forgotten betrayal centers around a broken pact made by her ancestor - a pact that severed Hearthstone's magic and opened the door for the Weaver.
