Dale, partnered with the brilliant but skeptical physicist Kimberly Ellis, is assigned to the case. Their investigation leads them from the sterile cubicles of the IRS to the chaotic marketplaces of alternate dimensions, where karma is traded like currency and spiritual debts are settled in ethereal casinos.  They encounter Robin Castro, a street-smart karmic debt collector, and Michael Melendez, a reformed con artist navigating his own karmic redemption.
As they unravel Walker's scheme, they uncover a secret society-the Karmic Arbiters-divided on whether Walker is a rogue element or a necessary correction to a flawed system.  Dale and Kimberly discover Walker's motivations are far more complex than simple greed: he believes the universe is a rigged game and he's rewriting the rules.  This forces Dale, a man deeply rooted in fairness, to confront his own beliefs about justice.
Their pursuit culminates in the Nexus, a chaotic crossroads of the multiverse, where Dale, armed with his karmic abacus, must confront Walker in a battle of wits for the fate of countless universes.  Will Dale uphold the system he swore to protect, or will he succumb to Walker's vision of a rebalanced cosmos?  In a universe where every action echoes across dimensions, even the smallest gesture can have profound consequences.
