Their search for the Flame becomes a desperate race against time, leading them through hidden cisterns, clandestine libraries, and opulent palaces. They uncover a conspiracy far deeper than the siege itself, a web of ancient rivalries that threatens to unravel both empires.  Their fragile alliance is tested by a dangerous secret: Hassan is bound to Gülbahar by a blood oath, a pact that could force him to betray Esra, to deliver her and the Flame into the sorceress's clutches.
