"VERSschmuggel - VEARSaistear" is an innovative book of German and Irish poetry, published by Clo Iar-Chonnachta and Wunderhorn. The book came about as a result of a project during the Berlin Poetry Festival 2004, which paired six German poets with six Irish language poets in order to translate each other's work. They were provided with literal translations of the poems, dictionaries and an interpreter. They worked together, sharing the inspiration for their poems and making decisions regarding rhyme, rhythm and imagery. "VERSschmuggel - VEARSaistear" is the result of their work.
