The book #MyDanubeStory is a collection of 16 unique stories about the currents of life along the Danube. On the occasion of the 70th anniversary of the Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe (IDM), we wanted to know what the Danube means to you! As part of the challenge #MyDanubeStory, people shared with us their experiences, stories and thoughts. The result is this little book with some of the best stories we have received. The authors take us back to eventful times long past, recount touching personal experiences, but also look at the challenges and opportunities of the future in our region.

Autor

The Institute for the Danube Region and Central Europe (IDM) is a regional think tank registered as an association and predominantly financed by public funds. Founded in 1953, the Vienna-based institute carries out research with a geographical focus on Central, East and South East Europe, particularly focusing on the Danube Region. Through events, publications and educational activities, the experts of the IDM aim to transfer knowledge and initiate debates that revolve around the central questions of our time.
