This debut romantic novel from music industry insider Witt Stewart explores the transformative power of love, connections that transcend time, and how quirks of fate can change life in an instant.
A successful photographer who specializes in documenting live concerts of A-list bands, Brad Sullivan's love of music is entwined throughout all aspects of his daily life, with certain songs and artists chronicling the emotions of his past, present, and future. They mark the happiest and saddest points in time for him, and help him make sense of his journey on Earth.
When tragedy calls Brad to the deathbed of the beloved woman who helped raise him, his path crosses that of the beautiful, devastated Meredith Atwell in the hospital ER. Their futures are inexorably entwined from the moment their eyes meet, and as they support each other in the following days, healing physically and emotionally, they are drawn further into a deep and empowering relationship marked by startling coincidences and serendipitous commonalities. While attempting to unravel mysteries from Brad's past and reveal the potential for Meredith's future, the whirlwind romance fulfills each in ways they never expected possible.
In the vein of Nicholas Sparks, this tender and heartbreaking story of unexpected second chances, finding peace through music, and the power of forgiveness will inspire you to discover who you truly are and to... just be.
Witt has a deep history in the music industry, notably including artist management for Carole King, Jerry Jeff Walker, Joe Ely, and Guy Clark, as well as, co-ownership of Freeflow Productions, which developed and produced many platinum & multimillion-selling records including the Grammy winning album Christopher Cross. In 2010 Witt founded the groundbreaking digital platform ScatterTunes, which delivered the multimedia albums of Taylor Swift, John Mayer, Sheryl Crow, Jimi Hendrix, and many others, while his Scatter Records released albums including songs recorded by the legendary country band Alabama, Kris Kristofferson, Hank Williams, Jr, Dierks Bentley, Jewel, Shooter Jennings, and Jessi Colter. Additionally, Witt's varied professional background includes work as sports agent for NFL Hall of Fame members Tony Dorsett and Earl Campbell, as well as, nearly five years working with Hall of Famer Jim Brown and his Amer-I-Can Program.
Just Be is Witt's first novel, which will serve as a companion book to the Just Be movie, currently in development by Executive Producer Louis Black, who was the Executive Producer of the feature film Blaze directed by Ethan Hawke and the documentary films directed by Award-winning filmmaker Margaret Brown; Be Here to Love Me: Townes Van Zandt, and Descendant.
