Vance is abducted by the Mergenky Aliens and taken to the planet of Gwaba and eventually becomes a crew member on the Scout Class Spaceship with the Captain who originally abducted him where he experiences firsthand the horrors of galactic scale space combat. In the process he meets Mergenky females, and a romance begins. Vance survives the rigors of the space battles and meets and befriends a Mergenky ground forces fighter who also adds to the drama as the ground forces are making a last stand. The planet Jeeapa reaches the bitter end of the struggle and no clear winner in sight. Because of Vances performance in the Jeeapa War, the Mergenky reward him by taking him back to Earth so that he can live out his life at hiss home world. Unfortunately for Vance, he is soon discovered and the subject of mass hysteria as people in his community discover the alien space craft returning him home. That creates another drama and a sequel Sasha Andromeda.
