 This book Is part of a procession of work fuelled by the need for cultural engagement and a desire for change. Starting with his Series of essays Sickle Cell Companion in a need to grasp all the facts of Sickle Cell and put them on display for the layman followed by Rhyme and Reason. Charged with the displaying the strength of emotional resolve and change this year has bought about. All in a bid to create this anchoring point for people who feel the same way invisible disease or not.

Melancholy Maelstrom is not just a book about trauma terror anguish and depression but the getting over of those things. Damilare details many instances over the years him facing adversity but not necessarily getting over it, its him grasping the silver lining of these situations and spinning that yarn into something meaningful and doing that over and over no matter the circumstances.
