Four strangers in turmoil. Will their stories set them free - or crush them?Four strangers are gathered in a barn in the Devonshire countryside on New Year s Eve in the middle of a snowstorm. They are distraught and exhausted. Struggling with the tension and oppressive atmosphere surrounding them, each of them tells the others a story some are invented, some are taken from their lives. They tell of adventure, romance, rebellion and a mystery that the story s protagonist has to solve. Eventually, the strangers are calm and tired enough to go to sleep. However, it doesn t take long until their internal struggles resurface and their dreams turn into nightmares. Unable to conceal the nature of their suffering any longer, they start opening up to each other and reveal what has brought them to this desolate place they find themselves in. As the last day of the year comes to a close, their stories unravel.
