A powerful and unapologetic book exploring young women's experiences of rape, compiled of real stories, statistics and photographs.
100 Women I Know is a collection of accounts of rape and sexual assault. The stories in this book are from women that the editor knows personally, but aims to bring together and foster solidarity between everyone who has been a victim of sexual violence. By exposing the common threads in each story, 100 Women I Know demonstrates the need to redefine rape within society and to further the understanding of consent to help prevent young men and women from becoming perpetrators or survivors of sexual violence. The book gives a voice to all of the brave women who shared their stories and continues the much needed conversation on sexual violence. Thirty percent of money received from book sales will go towards funding educational workshops in schools.

The true authors of this book are the anonymous women that gave us their stories. This book wouldn't have been possible without their brave words.Fiona Vera-Gray is a Leverhulme Early Career Fellow in the Department of Law working on violence against women and girls. Fiona is a regular media commentator on topics including rape, child sexual abuse, sexual violence prevention and pornography. In addition she has advised government on policy issues including sexual violence prevention; online abuse and pornography; public transport safety; and body image. Fiona has a practice-based background, working in the specialist sexual violence sector for over a decade as both a frontline support provider and an expert in sexual violence prevention with young people. This combines with her extensive experience as a campaigner and activist against violence against women to bring a wealth of practice based evidence to her academic activities. Phoebe Montague is an award-winning film maker on a mission to open up the conversation about rape, with the aim to prevent young people from becoming survivors or perpetrators. She plans to tour the film, book and an accompanying workshop to schools, colleges and community projects. These transformative workshops are designed to educate and engage young people and encourage participants to reconsider their preconceived ideas, judgments and misconceptions of rape.
