Patricia Hall has been a journalist with the BBC and Guardian newspaper, and is the author of more than twenty-five crime novels. As well as four previous Kate O'Donnell mysteries, she is the author of the popular Ackroyd & Thackeray series set in her native Yorkshire. She lives near Oxford.
