In 1979, Liz Pryor, a good girl from a wealthy Chicago family, fell accidentally pregnant. At only 17, her parents made the difficult decision to send Liz away to have the baby before giving it up for adoption, and to keep the pregnancy secret from everyone she knew. Like a fish out of water, Liz landed in a dismal state-run Catholic facility for disadvantaged teenagers. All pregnant, the youngest just 13, the girls she encountered in the institution would change her life forever - their friendships and shared understandings growing as their girths increased. Written with tremendous warmth, Liz provides rich insights into human nature and the anguish of this extraordinary event that was kept secret until now. Look At You Now is a shocking, compelling, and life-affirming tale of friendship under the most difficult of circumstances.

Liz Pryor was raised in a small suburb outside Chicago, the fifth of seven children. Her first book was a book of advice about female friendship, WHAT DID I DO WRONG? (Simon & Schuster, 2006) and it was a finalist for a Books for a Better Life Award. In 2011, ABC's Good Morning America conducted a national search for a life advice guru. Among 15,000 applicants, Liz was chosen for the position, signing a two-year contract to contribute on-air and online. Currently, Liz maintains LizPryor.com, speaks across the country on many life advice topics, and endorses several products for national brands. She lives in Los Angeles with her three teenage children.
