Sam Bailey, a former prison officer, catapulted into the media spotlight during the 2013 edition of X Factor; Her debut single Skyscraper went straight to number 1 in December 2013, spending 13 weeks in the Official UK Chart. Her debut album, The Power Of Love, released 21st March 2014 also reached the number 1 spot in the chart. It has been four years since an X Factor winner topped the UK album chart.
