There is even a cruise ship romance to contend with, plus some dodgy fund raising methods for his new parish. Nevertheless, it's safe to say that Father Green is the punter's priest.

MICHAEL CHURCH was the accountant and the Special Projects manager at the Racing Post. Since retiring he has written a number of books including Classic Pedigrees, The Derby Stakes and Eclipse, as well as three volumes of memoirs - Ripping Gambling Yarns, Born To Bet and Black Horse Red Dog
