Sally King favours the unusual or unexpected in art, and so in her work she aims to create surprising visions using a combination of objects and surroundings that would not normally be associated with the object. Her fashion training combines with her imagination and graphic skill to create wondrous heeled confections – seemingly impossible designs that yet retain the possibility of being wearable footwear, not out of place on the catwalk.
