Saskia Beranek is Associate Professor of Art History at Illinois State University (Normal, Illinois). Her research has focused on Amalia van Solms as a patron, subject, and collector, but extends to the cultural agency of Dutch widows more broadly. Previous work has been published in JHNA and multiple AUP edited volumes.
