Unlike other areas of medicine, there are no precisely defined hygiene guidelines in dentistry regarding the risk assessment of dental instruments for reprocessing. As a result, each dentist must essentially assess for themselves which risk groups (non-critical, semi-critical, critical) the respective instruments belong to. This book provides a risk assessment and classification of dental instruments for reprocessing. It is based on the guidelines of the Robert Koch Institute, and aims to determine whether these guidelines and classifications are suitable for use in dentistry.

Born on 23 June 1984 in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He spent his childhood and youth there. In 2012, he obtained his academic degree of Dr. med. dent. at the Medical University of Vienna. In the following years, he worked at the Bernhard Gottlieb University Dental Clinic in Vienna.
