Christian Schad (1894-1982) was one of the protagonists of the New Objectivity movement. His realistic portraitsof the 1920s to 1940s are world famous and highly influential to this day. The 2nd volume of the Schadcatalogue of works presents his photographic oeuvre. Most images are shown for the first time: portraits, landscapeand city photography, abstract motifs. Informative essays explain, inter alia, Schad's artistic approachtowards photography.
Enno Kaufhold, geboren 1944, ist promovierter Kunst- und Fotohistoriker. Er arbeitet freischaffend als Lehrer für Fotogeschichte sowie als Ausstellungskurator und Publizist in Berlin. Von ihm sind zahlreiche Zeitungs-, Zeitschriften-, Katalog- und Buchtexte sowie eigenständige Buchpublikationen zur Fotografie und ihrer Geschichte erschienen.
