Agathe Backer Grøndahl is primarily known as an accomplished Norwegian pianist, but her brilliant compositions have received little attention to date. The Fantasy Pieces, Op. 39, contain some of her most successful piano works, which captivate with their original and partly impressionistic tonal language. First-ever Urtext edition, edited by Christian Grøvlen, based on the original manuscript and the first edition of 1898, which was out of print for many years.
Agathe Backer Grøndahl ist vor allem als bedeutende norwegische Pianistin bekannt, während ihre meisterhaften Kompositionen bis heute nur wenig Beachtung fanden. Die zehn Fantasiestücke op. 39 enthalten einige ihrer erfolgreichsten Klavierstücke, die durch eine originelle und teilweise impressionistische Tonsprache bestechen. Erste Urtext-Ausgabe, herausgegeben von Christian Grøvlen, basierend auf der Originalhandschrift und der Erstausgabe von 1898.
