For almost 20 years, Cyprus-born, Düsseldorf-based choreographer Alexandra Waierstall has been staging productions throughout the world. The direct, physical imagery of Alexandra Waierstall’s works is as impressive as the radical presence of her dancers. They draw from the vital interpersonal negotiation of complex relationships which unfolds in choreographic constellations, images and transformations. Here, choreography becomes a means to empowerment in the incarnation of social responsibility, and a starting point for forms of communality.
