Maurus Schifferli (*1973) is a landscape architect and studied landscape architecture at Rapperswil University of Applied Sciences. Since 2000 he has been running his own office MAURUS SCHIFFERLI, LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT (until 2014 as 4d AG) in Bern, Basel, Lugano and Jakarta. In 2007 he won a travel grant from the Canton of Bern for visual arts, photography and architecture and studied the position and work of architect Geoffrey Bawa in Sri Lanka. In 2012, he managed the Buufeli alpine pasture and cheese dairy in Simmental. He has taught at various universities, including the Burgdorf School of Architecture from 2005 to 2017. He is a member of the Swiss Association of Engineers and Architects and a jury member of the Schulthess Garden Prize of the Swiss Heritage Society.
