Alia Farid: Bneid Al Gar is a new catalog edited by Caroline Ugelstad and produced by Henie Onstad Kunstsenter in Oslo in conjunction with the opening of a major solo exhibition with the Kuwaiti-Puerto Rican artist Alia Farid (b. 1985). Alia Farid is the third recipient of the Lise Wilhelmsen Art Award, and the exhibition and catalog are part of the Lise Wilhelmsen Art Award Programme. In her art, the artist brings together a variety of media, including writing, drawing, tapestry, film, and sculpture. This is the first substantial catalog on Alia Farid which presents her work through new texts by Andrea Andersson, Ruba Katrib and Maru Pabón. The catalog also contains a conversation with Alia Farid and María Inés Rodríguez.
