Das Zine wurde von der Künstlerin in enger Zusammenarbeit mit dem Londoner Designstudio Zak Group gestaltet. Ausgangspunkt ist die Biografie der Künstlerin. Sie gibt intime Einblicke in die frühe Phase von Anne Imhofs künstlerischer Laufbahn, in der ihr Leben und ihre Arbeit eng miteinander verbunden waren. In dieser Zeit vor den sozialen Medien, als das Persönliche noch wirklich politisch war, musste Anne Imhof ihr Leben als Künstlerin, Türsteherin und junge Mutter miteinander vereinbaren. This zine, available in three different colours, accompanies the eponymous exhibition at Kunsthaus Bregenz and brings together visual and literary art materials from the years 2001 to 2003.
Designed by the Anne Imhof in close collaboration with the London design studio Zak Group, this zine touches on the artist’s biography. It not only serves as a companion to the exhibition but also provides intimate insights into the early phase of Imhof’s artistic career, in which her life and work were particularly closely linked. This pre-social-media period, when the personal was truly political, saw Imhof balancing her life in shifts as an artist, club bouncer, and young mother. Including a poster.
