Well-crafted arrangements of music from the 16th century to the present day for bassoon and piano. Pieces are presented in chronological order and show the year in which they were written to give a sense of the different styles of music through time. These volumes include contrasting styles from Sweelinck to Joplin and from Verdi to Maxwell Davies. Many of the pieces feature on the ABRSM Bassoon syllabus while also being an invaluable source of further study and recital repertoire for Grades 4-6.

Ian Denley has over thirty years' experience of woodwind teaching at all levels. He was head of woodwind for Humberside County's Education Authority from 1991 to 1995, and is a visiting tutor at Hull University. He was appointed an Associated Board examiner in 1986, and is Series Editor of the Associated Board Woodwind Scales and Arpeggios series.
