Shot entirely on 35mm film, North of the River is a celebration of the natural beauty of everyday Bristol, both the well known places and the places without a specific name or address.
It is also an intimate reflection of Paul’s experience in Bristol. Whether wandering through the quiet cold of early mornings, or sitting in the glow of the setting sun and looking over the rolling hills, these photos embody the places he considers home.
It is also an intimate reflection of Paul’s experience in Bristol. Whether wandering through the quiet cold of early mornings, or sitting in the glow of the setting sun and looking over the rolling hills, these photos embody the places he considers home.
Originally from the U.S., Paul moved to Bristol, England in 2018, where he properly started his photography journey. Since then, he has explored the world through film and digital mediums, capturing landscapes, wildlife, architecture, and much more. He is always looking for ways to push his photography in order to share new perspectives, and to capture the magic that exists in reality.
