MFA Boston presents a stunning and dynamic selection of prints from their Japanese Collection, covering centuries of history, and ranging in subject matter from natural landscapes and wildlife, to rich social and cultural traditions, and beyond, to the eerie and haunting beauty of Kabuki and the phantasmagoric.
The Japanese Prints 2023 Planner is a spiral-bound, interactive planner which showcases a diverse and gripping collection of some of the finest art to emerge from the ancient Japanese tradition. The landscapes are serene and devastating, beautiful and bleak. The human subjects are peaceful, calm, content, and happy; or engaged in the throes of conflict. MFA Boston has curated a selection of traditional Japanese artwork which simultaneously evinces both the simple and the complex beauty of life on Earth. It is not to be missed.
