Anlässlich des Barenboim Festivals in Buenos Aires kehrt Daniel Barenboim in seine Heimatstadt zurück, um mit der Staatskapelle Berlin den gesamten Zyklus der Brahms-Sinfonien aufzuführen. Im Konzertsaal des Kirchner Kulturzentrums, welches für seine hervorragende Akustik berühmt ist, erklingt Barenboims Interpretation der Sinfonien Nr. 1-4 und ruft „Bravos und Standing Ovations im Publikum“ hervor (Berliner Morgenpost). On the occasion of the Festival Barenboim in Buenos Aires, Daniel Barenboim returns to his native city to perform with the Staatskapelle Berlin the entire cycle of Brahms’ symphonies. In the concert hall of Kirchner Cultural Centre famous for its magnifi cent acoustics, Barenboim’s rendition of the Symphonies Nos. 1-4 elicits “bravos and standing ovations in the audience” (Berliner Morgenpost).
