Selbst digital produziert stellen sie sich in die digitale Bilderflut und schaffen so einen Kontrapunkt zur egalisierten Anonymität pseudoindividualisierter Selbstdarstellungsexzesse.

Inspired by the impressive 48 portraits Gerhard Richter made for the German Pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 1972, the "48 Portraits of People Who Never Existed in this Way" play with Richter's massive patheticness. With their colorfulness and stylistic diversity they are contrasting the austerity of Richter's grayness placed in the style-forming blur and thus escaping the errors of a weight of meaning placed in the monochrome imagery. Digitally produced themselves, they place it in the digital flood of images and thus create a counterpoint to the egalized anonymity of pseudo-individualized self-portrayal excesses.
