Oliver Dorn ist Mitherausgeber und Chefredakteur des Jagdmagazins HALALI sowie Geschäftsführer der Werbeagentur Convergence, die Kunden wie Leica, Steyr Mannlicher oder den Deutschen Jagdverband betreut. Nach dem Studium der Publizistik war er mehrere Jahre für Vodafone und eine internationale Werbeagentur tätig. Der Vater zweier Söhne ist selbst passionierter Jäger und Pächter zweier Jagdreviere, aus dem er mit seiner Frau Ilka, Familie und Freunde mit Wildbret versorgt. Neben der Wildküche, interessiert sich Oliver Dorn für Jagdpolitik, Jagdreisen ins europäische Ausland und den eigenen Bauerngarten.
