Carlo McCormick lebt als Kurator und Kritiker in New York City. Er ist Chefherausgeber des PAPER Magazins, schreibt seit 35 Jahren über Kunst, hat über hundert Bücher zum Thema veröffentlicht und viele preisgekrönte Ausstellungen in verschiedenen Museen betreut. McCormick ist seit Langem ein ausgesprochener Befürworter und Unterstützer von Graffiti und Street Art sowohl in der Kunstwelt als auch innerhalb der Populärkultur. In seinen Büchern Trespass (2010), City as Canvas (2011) und Art in the Streets (2013) setzt er sich ausführlich damit auseinander.
