Gary Schwartz is an art historian and one of the best-known writers on Dutch art. His books on Rembrandt have been international bestsellers, and he writes a popular column on museums and art history in a Dutch daily newspaper. He was born and raised in New York and now lives in Maarssen, the Netherlands.
