Louis K. Meisel (author of, among other titles, Abrams' Photorealism, Photorealism Since 1980 and Photorealism at the Millennium) is a New York art dealer whose gallery helped to establish the Photorealism movement in the late 1960s; he has been its main patron and historian ever since. It was Meisel who coined the term Photorealism in 1969.
