With its dramatically lit skyscrapers, twinkling bridges, neon lights, and yellow cabs streaking down Broadway, it's no wonder that New York is the city that never sleeps! From the awesome golden sunsets over the Hudson River to the pale yellow sunrise breaking over the East River, you'll see the world's most popular city illuminated like never before. New York City at Night is a stunning blend of aerial photographs of the city's iconic skyline and most famous landmarks as seen through the lens of world-famous aerial photographer Evan Joseph. During the daytime, the Empire State Building is a large-shouldered, gray giant on the horizon; but at nighttime, this 120-story Art Deco gem is enchanting. See this landmark building all lit up, and enjoy sparkling views from the deck of its Observatory and beyond. A tourist book to break the mold! New York City at Night offers a dramatic new perspective of the world's favorite destination.

Marcia Reiss has lived in Brooklyn and Manhattan for more than 30 years, working as a journalist, university professor, public official and advocate. She is the author Brooklyn Then and Now and a series of guides to Brooklyn neighborhoods published by the Brooklyn Historical Society. Evan Joseph is one of the premiere photographers of New York City architecture. Evan fell in love with photography at age thirteen and followed the passion to study art at Vassar College and The Slade School of Art in London, later returning to New York University for a Master's Degree. He has been a member of the faculty of Parsons School of Design and The Art Institute of NYC and his work has been published in leading magazines around the world, including Architectural Digest, Elle D cor, NY Living, New York Magazine, The New York Post, The Wall Street Journal, The New York Observer, and The New York Times. When he's not making pictures, Evan can be found exploring the city with his wife, two young children, and his pug.
