Seit dem Jahr 2000 bildet die Arbeit mit Video einen Schwerpunkt am MediaLab der Professur für Landschaftsarchitektur der ETH Zürich, Christophe Girot. In Videostudien wird ein bewegter Blick auf unsere zeitgenössischen Landschaften geworfen. Die kurzen Porträts machen die meist übersehenen Qualitäten der urbanen Landschaft sicht- und erfahrbar. 'Cadrages II' setzt die mit 'Cadrages I' (gta Verlag, 2002) begonnene Diskussion fort und veranschaulicht die Arbeiten im Rahmen der eigens entwickelten Lehrmethode des LandscapeVideo als Beitrag zu der sich schnell verändernden visuellen Kultur der Landschaftsarchitektur.
Work with video has been a major focus at the MediaLab in Prof. Christophe Girot’s Chair of Landscape Architecture at the ETH in Zurich since 2000. Video studies provide a mobile vision of our contemporary landscapes. The short portraits make the usually overlooked characteristics of the urban landscape visible and tangible.
‘Cadrages II’ continues the discussion that started with ‘Cadrages I’ (gta Verlag, 2002) and illustrates the works in the context of a specially developed teaching method for LandscapeVideo as a contribution to the quickly changing visual culture of landscape architecture.
