Nelly Edwards is an illustrator based in the countryside just outside of Newbury, West Berkshire. Nelly had always dreamt of being an illustrator when she was a child. Now more than 40 years’ later, she’s able to live that dream! Nelly predominantly works in the medium of collage. She works in her tiny home studio hand printing fun colours, patterns and textures onto recycled paper that she finds here and there (like a Womble). Each newly printed piece of paper provides her imagination the opportunity to run wild and go on exciting adventures. It’s Nelly’s dream to write and illustrate her own books one day when she grows up, but for now she’s just happy following her illustration adventures wherever they may take her.
