This adventure/mystery/comedy is a story about a monkey named Mac, who was raised as a human child and forced into a scientific experiment. He's put in a zoo with some wild monkeys to see whether he can make them more like humans, or if they will make him more like a wild animal. Meanwhile, he meets three boys, Snac, Pac, and Stac. They build a go-kart and race against some girls and some other boys from school, crash, and wind up in a whole lot of trouble, being chased by a goofy cop.

In this novel, kids get to travel to Snacker Packer Stacker's Land where they create humorous names for their own Snacker Packer Stacker's snacks. They will enjoy speaking Snackerpackerstackish, learning riddles, rhymes and sing-a-longs. They become great Snackerpackerstackians, stacking, packing and stacking knowledge of math, science, animals, and Spanish. They will remain captivated with animals, magic, ghosts, and aliens. Kids will learn lessons of faith, hope, and love that can help them deal with everyday life situations like bullying, sibling rivalry, lying, cheating, stealing, self-esteem issues, and other conflicts.

Chapter 2 - DR. HILLARD

It was early Monday morning on a sunny day, when Julie’s boss, Dr. Hillard, pulled her to the side and informed her of a business offer. This offer guaranteed a contract for three million dollars if she agreed to work with Mac on a scientific experiment for only two years.

Julie’s heart jumped for joy because this was a once-in-a- lifetime opportunity to become a millionaire.

So many thoughts went through Julie’s mind, but the two most important were giving Mac a better life and one day opening her own veterinarian hospital. This would be a dream come true.

Professor Claudine was Julie’s closest friend. She was glad that Julie was offered the contract, although she was a little suspicious.

While Dr. Hillard and Julie talked, Professor Claudine stood guard by the door to make sure no one was listening. Monkey Mac liked Professor Claudine but thought something was very strange about her and it wasn’t because she had extra fingers.

“I know what you’re thinking, Ms. Julie Mason,” said Dr. Hillard, “And I know you’re excited, but please calm down for a minute and give me time to think.”

“We are going to Hollywood!” she sang over and over again, dancing around.

“We are going to Hollywood!”

“Julie, please keep still . . . you’re making me nervous,” begged her boss. “I’m not so sure about this.”

“Shhh!” whispered Claudine from across the room. “You all be quiet, before someone hears you guys.”

Although her boss was happy for Julie, he reminded her of several mad scientists, like Dr. Frankenstein,

Dr. Scientholl, Dr. Hunter, and Dr. Chavesty. But he mainly reminded her of Dr. Neuro, in particular.

“Don’t you remember Dr. Neuro?” he asked Julie. “He offered millions to three different owners and their monkeys, all at the same time, for a new experiment, but he didn’t tell them the whole truth. They thought he wanted to prove a new vaccine, but he had other ideas.”

“What was his experiment about?” Julie asked.

“Dr. Neuro wanted to prove that he could change the owners into monkeys and the monkeys into humans by switching part of their brains.”

Julie and Claudine laughed at how ridiculous the whole idea sounded. He also told Julie and Claudine of the time he was personally offered a similar contract for his monkey named Spoiled.

“I was offered a contract for my monkey named Spoiled,” said Dr. Hillard.

“Wow! You were?” said Julie, very curious. “Did you take it?”

“No! Absolutely not! I loved Spoiled and Spoiled loved me. There was no way I was going to accept their offer, especially when I learned that they were going to use some experimental drugs on him. But the next thing I knew, we were both kidnapped in the middle of the night.

“Are you serious?” asked Julie, completely surprised. “As serious as a heart attack!” said Dr. Hillard.

“Oh! My! God! Dr. Hillard!” What happened? Were you scared?” asked Julie.

“Of course, I was! I was so scared, I cried like a baby . . . and I never cry. Well, yes, I do!” He laughed as he turned to talk to Claudine. “But I never cried like that before. I thought they were going to kill me!”

“For real?” asked Julie. “I don’t know what I would have done.”

“What! I would have broken out, even if I had to dig through the walls,” Claudine laughed.

You got that right!” said Julie, slapping high fives with Claudine.

“Guess how much they paid the kidnappers to capture us?” asked Dr. Hillard.

Both Julie and Claudine had no idea, but before they could even guess, Dr. Hillard told them. “Would you all believe they only paid five hundred thousand dollars to capture Spoiled, but one million to capture me?”

“Really!” gasped Julie. “I always thought they paid more for the monkey than the owner.”

“I thought so, too.” said Claudine, surprised.

“They used to,” said Dr. Hillard. “But not anymore. Now they pay more for the owner than the monkey, especially for developmental experiments.”

“Wow!” said Julie. “You learn something new every day.” “How in the world did you escape?” Claudine asked, feeling sad for Dr. Hillard.

Dr. Hillard started to tell them, when suddenly, Dr. Doneys and his assistant Professor Navigateur rushed in.

“What’s going on here?” asked Dr. Donkeys, with the meanest voice ever.

“Yes!” What’s going on here?” asked his goofy assistant Professor Navigateur, like he was going to do something about it.

“We are working very hard, sir . . . aren’t we, ladies?” replied Dr. Hillard.

“Yes, we are, sir!” answered Claudine.

“We sure are, sir!” replied Julie. “We almost have the antidote ready, sir!”

“I hope so!” said Dr. Donkeys.

“I hope so!” said Professor Navigateur.

“Can you stop repeating after me?” Dr. Donkeys whispered to Professor Navigateur. “It’s embarrassing!”

“Yes, sir Dr. Donkeys, anything for you sir,” said Professor Navigateur.

“Dr. Hillard, I want this antidote ready by next Thursday,” demanded Dr. Donkeys.

Yes! I want this antidote ready by next Thursday,” demanded Professor Navigateur. “Just shut up and follow me!” Dr. Donkeys whispered, shaking his head in disbelief.

“Yes, sir . . . no problem, sir . . . next Thursday it is!” said Dr. Hillard, acting a little nervous. “We will do our best. Thank you, sir!”

Dr. Hillard, Julie, and Claudine burst out laughing when they left the room.

“Okay, ladies!” said Dr. Hillard. “Is it my imagination or do Dr. Donkeys and Professor Navigateur look like a monkey and an alligator to you?”

“They sure do,” laughed Julie.

“I was thinking the same thing,” laughed Claudine.

“Dr. Hillard, please finish telling us about what happened to you and Spoiled,” said Claudine.

“Oh yea, that’s right. The craziest thing was they let Spoiled run loose and kept me locked up in a cage the whole time.

“You have got to be kidding me!” Julie laughed. “They sure did!” laughed Dr. Hillard.

“So, what happened? How did you get out?” Julie asked, while mixing some chemicals together.

“Only two weeks had passed, when they realized they didn’t need me at all. I was worthless, but Spoiled, on the other hand, was worth ten times as much.”

“Why?” she asked.

“Because of his high IQ!” said Dr. Hillard, “But not only because of his high IQ . . . it was because they could get Spoiled to do anything they wanted him to do, without me.

“How is that?” asked Julie.

“You probably won’t believe this either, but they loved Spoiled so much, they spoiled ‘Spoiled,’ worse than me!”

Julie and Claudine burst out laughing so hard, they nearly fell to the floor.

“But how did you get away?” asked Julie, wanting more than anything to know.

“Spoiled helped me escape!” laughed Dr. Hillard.

“He did!” Julie and Claudine laughed as they clapped their hands.

“Spoiled stole the keys, opened the door, and distracted every security guard so I could get away. I hid in the woods for two months, too scared to go home. The day I decided to go home, there were two Sumo wrestlers eating chicken in my living room, and cans of beer were everywhere. I kid you not!” said Dr. Hillard, “When I saw them, I was so scared, I thought I was going to poop on myself,” he laughed.

“Oh, my goodness!” said Claudine.

“What happened?” asked Julie, nearly shocked.

“They grabbed me, tied me up, covered my mouth with duct tape, and threatened to kill me. Then they sat down, laughing, ate more chicken, watched a movie, and then had the nerve to fall asleep.

“Wow, were they really Sumo wrestlers?” Julie asked. “No. Of course not! But they were just as big as one.” “What happened after that?” asked Claudine.

“While they were asleep, I managed to get loose, and I ran away again, but this time for three more months. When I returned, they were right back, sitting in the same spot, eating more chicken. They caught me again, tied me up, and they fell asleep again, but this time they weren’t taking any chances and handcuffed me to the radiator.

“LORD, HAVE MERCY! What did you do?” asked Julie, frightened by the thought.

“What would anybody do?” laughed Dr. Hillard. “I cried and cried, and I kept crying, until it got on their nerves so bad, they decided to set me free.”

“HALLELUJAH!” yelled Julie.

“THANK YOU, JESUS!” yelled Claudine.

“Yes! Thank you, Jesus!” said Dr. Hillard. “Because I prayed and prayed for the good Lord to let me live another day.”

“God answers prayers!” said Julie, clapping.

He sure does!” laughed Claudine.

“You got that right!” laughed Dr. Hillard. “They eventually left, but they threatened to really kill me if I ever told anybody what happened or come back after, Spoiled. “Is Spoiled still alive?” Julie asked, taking a deep breath.

“I am happy to say he is very much alive,” he said with enthusiasm. “He owns a house bigger than mine, with a maid and a butler, but I can never see him again. The only times I get to see him is at the movies. He played a scene      in, “Let’s Go to China Land,” and he played in “The Road through County Fair.”

“I sure did see the second one you mentioned,” laughed Julie, “It was really a good...
