Although it is aimed at 2-6 year olds it can also be used for older children with English as an Additional Language or for those with Special Educational Needs. These cards contain lots of different mindfulness ideas, including breathing, sensory and guided imagery. The best way to use these cards would be to add them into your morning or afternoon routine. By using them regularly and consistently it will support children in developing their own mindfulness practice. If you use them just before a focused activity they may then support each child/children in getting ready to concentrate and pay attention for that activity. Additionally, if you use them just after a really exciting and stimulating activity (such as playing outside) it may be helpful to support them in calming down and getting ready for learning.
