Mary Finch was born and educated in London, and now lives in Wiltshire with her two daughters and three cats. She worked for twelve years in childrens' publishing and spent nine years as a specialist children's bookseller. Mary has also worked with Barefoot Books on The Little Red Hen and the Ear of Wheat (978-1-90228-334-0). Roberta Arenson has a BA in Fine Arts from the University of California. She lives in northern Arizona and works in collage, monoprint and watercolor. She is also the illustrator of One, Two, Skip A Few! (978-1-90228-300-5) for Barefoot Books.
