Jesus Christ is the Man at the heart of the Christian faith; but who is He? Where did He live? What did He do and teach? Why was He executed? Why do Christians believe He rose from the dead and is alive today? "Discovering Jesus" is an interactive CD-ROM for children. It features stories from the life of Christ, and activities.
Discovering Jesus is a new interactive CD-ROM designed to teach children about Jesus. It will take them on a journey two thousand years back in time and introduce them to the beginning of the Christian era. Animated stories show the Nativity (the birth of Jesus told by a shepherd who was there!), four miracles told by an eyewitness in the Miracle Zone show that Jesus is master of the sea and wind, more powerful than an army of demons, able to heal the sick and even bring the dead back to life. The Outsider Zone tells the Parable of the Good Samaritan giving instruction on Jesus' teaching about how we should treat each other, especially those who are different! The Trouble Zone introduces us to some of the main characters involved in the arrest, trial and crucifixion while the Power Zone gives a stirring account of the resurrection and ascension challenging the viewer to make a decision as to who Jesus is. After each Zone there is the opportunity to interact with the story, thus ensuring the viewer has learned something from the story.
An additional Travel Zone shows how all of history (including our calendar) is centred on Jesus Himself, and a "People and Places" feature gives a map of where the action happened.
