She is the creator of Nature-Wise, a program for teachers and students that blends literacy, outdoor exploration, and an understanding of our oneness with nature. She is a former Communications Director for Nature Forward and a former Chairwoman of The Taking Nature Black Conference. She lives in Washington, D.C.
