A little boy wakes up one morning to see The Opposite sitting on his ceiling. This impish creature manages to ensure that whatever the little boy says, the opposite will be true. The little boy tries to rectify everything as it goes wrong, but the mess in the kitchen and the classroom soon gets him into trouble. Tom Macrae is best known as a scriptwriter for television: his work has been shown on both Channel 4 and BBC2. He has recently written two episodes for the new series of Doctor Who. This is his first children's book.
