Giggles are guaranteed in this brand-new series by Hazel Gardner and bestselling illustrator Nikki Dyson – Penguin and Pup's first adventure, The Perfect Christmas, will have children rolling around the Christmas tree laughing.
Introducing your new favourite characters – Penguin and Pup – in this laugh-out-loud Christmassy caper from brand-new talent Hazel Gardner and bestselling illustrator, Nikki Dyson. GIGGLES GUARANTEED.

Meet Penguin: he's thoughtful, kind and loyal. He can be a bit cautious with new things, and he's very sensible. Pup, on the other hand, is a fun-loving whirlwind! She always thinks big and sometimes gets a bit carried away. . .

Like lots of friends, Penguin and Pup like VERY different things. Especially when it comes to Christmas. Penguin is all about the simple things: a perfectly-sized Christmas tree, and maybe a mince pie. Pup, on the other hand, wants a GIANT snow machine and a ten-course feast. It's a recipe for disaster, and LOTS of laughter.

So whether you are more Penguin, or more Pup, come along and let the giggling begin!

Hazel Gardner is a children’s author who lives in Lancashire with her human, cat and tortoise family. She has a Master’s in Linguistics from The University of Manchester, where she currently works in a public engagement and communications role. Hazel enjoys writing everything from bold and bright laugh-out-loud picture books to mindful, gentle stories and she is particularly fond of all things spooky. Nikki Dyson studied for her illustration degree in Swindon and since graduating in 2006 has illustrated many books for children, which include the bestselling You're Called What?, written by Kes Gray, and Oscar the Hungry Unicorn, written by Lou Carter. When she's not busy illustrating, Nikki enjoys reading and watching cartoons. Nikki lives and works from her home in Swindon.
