A lively, illustrated introduction to the essential work of therapists as community helpers and health heroes
What does a therapist do every day? What character traits are essential for therapists to have?

Follow therapists as they work to keep people happy and healthy. These health heroes do the important work of helping patients care for their mental health. Discover how they work with other healthcare providers to care for patients. Like all health heroes, they make sure the needs of the patient come first. Meet a real therapist from Mayo Clinic, and find out how these health heroes save the day, every day!

Meets (C3) Framework for Social Studies standards: College, Career, and Civic Life. D2.Civ.2.K-2. Explain how all people, not just official leaders, play important roles in a community.

Mayo Clinic Press Kids creates empowering health and wellness content in partnership with pediatric experts. Proceeds from the sale of every book go to benefit important medical research and education at Mayo Clinic.
