Liriam Longneck lives with her parents near a lake. Every time she plays with the other little dinosaurs, she is laughed at because of her long neck.
One day with eyes full of tears, she leaves the big lake and heads off into the woods, where she meets different animals who need exactly her help: the little bear cannot come sown from the tree, the little frog is too small to jump up on a rock and the hedgehog cannot cross the creek. Experiencing kindness and feeling significant again Liriam returns to the lake, where her parents ensure her daughter: she ist loved and needed, just the way she is!

Ervis Kashari, aufgewachsen in der idyllisch am Fluss Osum gelegenen albanischen Stadt Berat, der Stadt der tausend Fenster, entdeckte bereits in jungen Jahren seine Liebe für die Kunst und bemalt heute nicht nur Leinwände und Papier, sondern auch Holzflächen, Blätter und Textilien. Ervis Kashari lebt mit seiner Familie in Belgien, arbeitet als IT Spezialist und feiert mit der Illustration von Lirim Langhals sein Debüt als Illustrator für Kinderbücher.
A long time ago near a big lake lived a little dinosaur with a neck ten times as long as yours. Her name was Liriam Longneck, and she was very unhappy. Whenever she played by the water with the other little dinosaurs, they teased and picked on her because she was the only one with such a long neck. “It's really unfair!” said Liriam to her parents one day. “Why can't I be just like everybody else?” Mama and Papa Longneck looked down at their daughter with concern. “But Liriam, you are beautiful just the way you are!” They tried to comfort Liriam, but it didn't help at all. Liriam Longneck’s little heart was still hurt, and she decided not to play by the lake with the other little dinosaurs anymore. Instead, with eyes full of tears, she headed off toward the woods.
