The book is a love letter to children (especially Black, Indigenous, and people of colour) in South Africa honouring their magic, worth, and power. It is the authors’ hope that BIPOC children discover the power of their voice through the recitation of these positive affirmations and know that they can change the world in an impactful way.

Sanelisiwe Singaphi is a young artist and illustrated other South African titles - In Africa with Avi and Kumbi, by historian Professor Nomalanga Mkhize as well as Qhawe! Mokgadi Caster Semenya, by Doctor Nokuthula Mazibuko Msimang.
